Bij Yara Sluiskil werken 700 vaste medewerkers. Yara Sluiskil is a production site of the Norwegian company Yara International, which has offices worldwide in 52 countries, with products sold in more than 160 countries and has almost 17,000 employees. Yara Sluiskil has been located at its present location in the Ghent-Terneuzen location since 1929 and manufactures nitrogen fertilizers and industrial chemicals such as Air 1® and NOxCare®, but also CO2 for the soft drink industry and breweries.
Within the company, the establishment in Sluiskil is one of the largest production sites, where in 2022 no less than 5 million tonnes of product was loaded. The plants are among the world's most efficient and reliable. Security has top priority.
The company is developing rapidly in recent years from a bulk producer to supplier of specialty fertilizers and products that contribute to environmental improvement.
