Safety regulations at Yara

Yara sets high standards for safe working. Whether you are visiting us or coming to work, we want you to leave our premises safely. This is not only important for you, but also for our colleagues, drivers and contractors. That is why we have listed the most important safety rules for you in the gate instruction. In this, we discuss all safety regulations and golden rules for our guests. By adhering to these rules, you prevent accidents.

Gate instruction and admission test

Everyone who visits Yara or performs work must follow the gate instruction and successfully complete an admission test. You can take this test at the reception and it takes about 10 minutes. Don't forget to bring a valid passport or identity card, a driver's license is not sufficient.

Personal protective equipment

If you are going to perform work on the site, such as loading and unloading or maintenance, you must wear at least the following personal protective equipment:

  • Safety glasses
  • Safety helmet
  • Safety shoes
  • Chemical-resistant work clothing
  • Reflective work jacket or vest, class 2

Safety rules for drivers

Are you a driver and are you delivering raw materials or collecting end products? Then you will find specific safety instructions here:

Safety rules for contractors

Are you coming to carry out maintenance work at our location? Then you must be in possession of at least a VCA-Basis certificate. If applicable, you also have additional certificates, such as a high-lift certificate. You can show these certificates on request.

Register

Register with your Yara contact person. This person will inform you about the risks and control measures of the work and show you the workplace.

Work permits

We work with a system of work permits. Your contact person has applied for a work permit, which can be collected from the supplying department (Shift Supervisor). Make sure you are well informed about the work and always keep this work permit within reach during work. By strictly following these safety rules, we contribute together to a safe working environment at Yara.
